LEEP’s OTs Introduce New Tools in 2015

LEEP’s two occupational therapists, Michaja Prendergast and Tish Graf, are both introducing new tools in the New Year! They believe these programs will help our kids experience dramatic improvements in their coordination, motor planning, and even their thinking. BrainBeat

Tish will be using Connect Experience Write (CEW) to help children with their handwriting. This relationship-based program was created by OTs and incorporates music tones and movement to teach letter formation. CEW letter groups are taught according to developmental progression of writing strokes –vertical and horizontal lines taught first followed by curved and diagonal lines–building the foundation needed for automatic fluid writing in a multi-sensory environment. You can learn more about CEW by clicking here.
