The Occupational Therapist’s Gift-Giving Guide

Michaja Prendergast, MS OTR/L, LEEP’s Head of Occupational Therapy, has compiled a list of fun gifts that target a number of OT goals. You can use this list in two ways – if you’ve got a tactile lover on your hands, your child may LOVE the tactile toys recommendations. However, you may find it useful to select toys that help your child improve in their weak spots, so tactile toys could be a good challenge for kids who are sensitive to textures. If you’re not sure what your child’s OT strengths and weaknesses are, check in with your OT.
