  • Assistant Clinician 

Assistant Clinician Position:

LEEP Forward and Quantum LEEP Academy, a developmental pediatric therapy clinic and preschool- 5th grade program, is now hiring a Lead Therapist and Special Education Teacher for our therapeutic K-5th program with our Quantum LEEP Academy.  This role would be located at our Ravenswood location.

Applicants must have at least a Master’s degree in a related field (Special Education/Child Development/Early Childhood Special Education) and be willing to or are currently working toward/have an Illinois Early Intervention Developmental Therapist credential.

A Lead Therapist works on-site in the therapeutic programming. May also lead /support enrichment groups and after school groups. The programming is focused on overall development with a particular focus on social/emotional development and individualized academic goals. The role is supporting the children within their play to best connect and socialize and helping them access and learn from the curriculum. Children enrolled in our programming are between the ages of 6-12 years old with a variety of developmental differences, including autism.

Applicants should demonstrate:

  • Advanced understanding of Sensory Integration, Visual-Spatial capacities, Behavioral Interventions and Academic Supports.

  • Leadership qualities to coach and train staff

  • The ability to support and work closely with Paraprofessionals, Staff, Related Service Providers and Administration to maintain overall quality of programming.

  • The ability and flexibility to lead/support Enrichment Groups or After-School Programming, if needed

  • Planning of weekly lessons that are engaging, teachable, effective and developmentally appropriate

  • Excellent communication with parents and is able to offer advice and encouragement

Special consideration is given to those with knowledge of the DIR/Floortime Model and considerate, passionate and playful applicants who cannot wait to make a difference in the world.

Hours are M-F from 8-4pm.
